Where to stay in Newport RI?
The Attwater! http://www.larkhotels.com/locations/
We stayed there last time, it was great. We've gone a couple of times. The Mansion tours are fun, we did the Breakers, Marble House and Rosecliff were my favorite. Cliffwalk is great to do too! We also took a sunset sailboat cruise that was a lot of fun. Other than that we walked around town a lot.

Where to stay in Newport RI?
I love RI yes the tours are great!! BUT nothing is cheap during high season which is now. The last time I went was 2009 in April just before the season and stayed at a best western, cheap but they told us once the season starts in May they charge $300 a night...

Re: Where to stay in Newport RI?
DH and I have been many times. We always stay at the Bayberry Inn. It's a little bed and breakfast... But it's always been nice.

We went to Newport in 2009 and stayed at the architects inn. It's a bed and breakfast. The owners are so nice. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast was amazing!! It's also in a great location. architects inn

Re: Where to stay in Newport RI?
i just returned yesterday and had to chime in! just wanted to say you'll love it! it's such a great town and really beautiful! we stayed at Castle Hill Beach Cottages which was ridiculously pricey! but it was our 10 yr anniversary so we splurged. while you're there definitely do the cliff walk-it's amazing! so beautiful! Mansion tours of course, and just wander in and out of the stores! There is also Brereton State park on Ocean Drive which is nice to just go out and walk along the ocean too. hope you have a wonderful time-it is literally one of my favorite places to go!

Re: Where to stay in Newport RI?
The Burbank Rose is pretty reasonable and in a great location. I prefer Pearls, but it's on the pricier side.

Re: Where to stay in Newport RI?
If you want to splurge, def the Vanderbilt grace! It's incredible! If u don't stay here, def go for a drink on the rooftop and watch the sunset. I loveeeeeee it there
For a less expensive stay, check out the Burbank rose. We stayed there for a night a few weeks ago. The location is PERFECT. But it's suppppper basic and I showered with flip flops. I didn't mind because the location was better than any other place (not that other inns are far). Its a 2-star bed and breakfast with a 5-star location. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on breakfast.
