Book club books

Its almost my turn to come up with 2 book choices, for the book club that I am in. Anyone have any good recommendations on stand alone fiction books.

Re: Book club books

My book club is reading "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?" this month.

Recently, we read "Me Before You," and Defending Jacob." I read "Reconstructing Amelia" on my own, which was good.

Other books I've read that could be good book club picks: "We Need To Talk About Kevin," "The Unfinished Work if Elizabeth D," "Sisterland," and "Left Neglected."

Re: Book club books

I agree with a lot of Christine's recommendations. I loved Reconstructing Amelia, Me Before You & Where'd you go, Bernadette?

I really liked Sisterland but I know some people found it boring.

I'd also recommend:

Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn
The Fault In Our Stars - John Green
What Alice Forgot - Liane Moriarty
The Goldfinch - Donna Tartt

I liked Sisterland, too. I think there would be a lot there for discussion.

I also liked "What Alice Forgot" (which was just recommended by Apt910... My friend's book club just read "The Husband's Secret," which is by the same author (Liane Moriarity), but I didn't like it as much as "What Alice Forgot."
