Has anyone stayed at Animal kingdom lodge?

I think my son would love the animals on the premises. Can you share your experience? Thanks

We stayed there a few years ago and my DS loved it (he was four at the time). We had a Savannah view room with bunk beds. The hotel is huge so if you can get a room close to the lobby, on a lower floor (yes, lower - you see the animals better) and on the inside of the U (the hotel is shaped like a U with a couple of wings on it) you will have the best chance of seeing the animals. There is something set up so they cannot get to your balcony. The food there is limited (two good restaurants but not your typical food - basic kids food is in the quick serve). Buses weren't bad at all and the only place that took a while to get to was MK - the other parks were very close. Also, if you have a car while you're there, very convenient to get to McDonald's, Walgreens (or CVS or some type place) and shopping - there is an exit right by the hotel.

We also stayed in a Savannah room and it was amazing. My son was 2 and 1/2 and was thrilled and awed by the animals. I def. recommend it!!

I stayed there twice. Both savanna views, once concierge level. Beautiful fun hotel. Many places to see the animals even if you don't get a savanna view. Lots of fun art work to look at, rocking chairs, firepit story time. I highly recommend it!
