Change of Address
Hi, We are supposed to close on our house next week (8/13.) We were supposed to close today, and sellers weren't ready, so now we are set for 8/13 at 1:00pm. Is there any reason, I shouldn't submit a change of address yet on usps. I'm so scared of jinxing everything lol. I would set it to start 8/15, since that is the last day in our rental. Also, to change address with bank, do you need to go in usually? It's a local bank, Bridgehampton, not a national chain. Thanks, Meghan

Re: Change of Address
I would set it up once you definitely will be taking possession of the house on a certain day. Also my bank had the option to come in and do it or they could mail me a form and I had to mail it back in which is what I did.

Change of Address
Congratulations on closing the house! It takes a minute to fill out change of address form on the USPS site. I think you have to pay a dollar with a credit card. I would do it couple of days before. I have always been able to change address for banks by changing it online myself. I find it so much easier to do things online whenever possible, especially when moving.
