DMV change of address question. Updated with another question.
Can you do a change of address on line if it's an out of state license?
Ex: moving from CA to NY
Anyone ever do this? Can it be that easy just doing it on line? I HOPE
ETA: This person would have to go themselves to do this, correct?
This isn't something I can take and do for him right?

DMV change of address question.
Not if it's out of state I think? Are you looking to get a ny license? I think you have to do that in he office.

DMV change of address question.
The address on your license has to be in the state that the license is issued in.
If you moved from CA to NY, you would have to go to DMV with the proper identification and surrender your CA license and get a new NY license (I had to do this when I moved from NJ to NY).
If you move to an address within NY, you can change your license online or over the phone.

This isn't for me. It's for a friend and I couldn't find any information on the website.
The person has to go themselves, right?

yes they will have to go with all the paper to get a new license in the new state and show proof of residency. Most likely 2 proofs, mortgage papers, and a bill.. They will have to get a new picture taken

I did it when I moved from TX to NY and then again backwards. Hate giving up my license!
