please give me ranges of what a new kitchen or bath might cost
Can anyone give me an idea of what a new larger bathroom might cost done by a professional? Nothing over the top, just a really nice new bathroom by a professional. Not even reconfiguring the room, just replacing everything.
What about a kitchen? Again, not really reconfiguring the room. Medium kitchen, custom or non custom cabinets, with higher end but not insanely priced appliances? A range is ok, just trying to come up with an idea of a numbers.

Honestly, the range of what you can spend is huge. For example, some people spend 10K on good quality, stock cabinets, we are spending twice that much for custom. I can FM what we are spending for our kitchen and one full bath. We didn't choose anything CRAZY, but the price is out of control.

Our kitchen remodel - which was a complete gut and reno, came to just about $40-50K. Our appliances were GE - so not "high end" but definitely good quality and reasonably priced.
ETA: our cabinets were good quality semi-custom KraftMade from Lowes. For what it's worth, it's good to budget for MORE than what the estimate is because you will inevitably find more issues that need to be addressed than you anticipated.

I did my kitchen for about 10K but we did all the work ourselves. It was a complete gut new plumbing electrical.
Bathroom - ours is small and we spent around $3K. Again gut.

we spent $4K on our bath, gut and replacing everything. I've gotten 3 quotes for a kitchen and $30K seems to be the median.

Well we replaced a toilet, faucet, sink, counter top and back splash in our powder room and for materials and labor it was about $900. We left the flooring and the existing cabinet.

Re: please give me ranges of what a new kitchen or bath might cost
I would figure $6K to 10K for a full bathroom renovation done by a professional.
$30K to $50K for a kitchen renovation that keeps the existing footprint/configuration of current kitchen.
Obviously, as you acknowledge, the cost varies based on several factors, including size of the rooms, who you hire to do the work, what materials you use, whether things are custom, etc.

Re: please give me ranges of what a new kitchen or bath might cost
DH would do all the work on ours.
Not going super high end and even using scratch and dent for kitchen appliances, he said he would budget at least $15k.
$5 or $6k for bathroom.
He barters the plumbing and electric with friends.

Ours cost about $30K. DH is in Construction so his guys did most of the work and friends did the electrical & plumbing. It was a complete gut. Moved Windows, Doors and Plumbing. Our appliances I got a deal through work. Even with all this it still came to about $30K. Our bathroom as a complete gut too. Moved walls etc. We went high end on this and our tiles cost about $6K but all in probably $10K.

Our bathroom was gutted, and before anything extra like replacing a window or wall, the contractor's price was $6k including the most basic of materials like drywall and joint compound. Everything else we bought (tile to tub to medicine cabinet or lights) can vary so wildly, but at least if you find a baseline for the contractor's piece, you can then set up a budget based on whatever you buy. For our kitchen, we got a rough estimate of 10-15k for the labor (again, down to studs and moving sink, gas line, building new walls etc) so cabinets and appliances would be on top of that.

We just did our kitchen - knocked down walls, moved plumbing, sealed up windows, created a new window, new lighting, cabinets and appliances and it came to about 33k

Re: please give me ranges of what a new kitchen or bath might cost
Doing the kitchen is our next big project. My brother will be doing all of our work. He just did an estimate for us. 18k that's for materials, a electrician, and plumber to come in. We are also doing a new sliding door and windows in our kitchen. I expect it to go up a little because projects like this usually do.
