Update: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
Excluding chains...
Update: Thanks... I guess I was more asking which restaurants your DC tends to enjoy the most... the food, or ambiance etc, I am looking to take DD somewhere that's not too loud or overstimulating. Something with a high chair would be a plus. She isn't quite 1 so as much as I would love to take her to our favorite steak house, it would be silly since she has a lot of trouble chewing meat.

Re: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
Other than chains, we always have taken my DD to a local Italian place near us. Super casual. Pizzeria in the front, restaurant in the back. Food is great and it's never super crowded so we always feel comfortable with her there

That place is pretty spectacular. We should reach out to them about franchising!

I bet you they would! I know someone who invested in it, which is how I know about it. Too bad I have no money! I bet this place would be a gold mine in Long Island!

Re: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
We take dd (now a little over 2yo) out almost everywhere and have been surprised by many places we didn't think were considered "child friendly" previously and didn't have children's menus. We just go out a little earlier (usually between 5:30-6:30) to beat the crowds and not ruin Fri or Sat date night for others in case she's fussy.
Besito's in Huntington has pretty loud music, if you are worried about your dc being loud or fussy. When we sat down, they gave us our menus and dd got a complimentary plate of bananas and avocado sliced up to keep her occupied while dh and I decided on what to eat. at the end of the dinner, they give out these little mini dream doll figurines to all and a to-go churro in a bag, which dd loved.
Jacksons in Commack was also a pretty loud atmosphere and has some great food.
I do a lot of Asian restaurants since they tend to be more casual. BCD Tofu House in Bayside has a playroom for kids to play in. There is a camera on the room and TV screen so you can monitor the kids while you are eating your meal.

I never really thought about it - we take Julian everywhere, I mean - every place that it is appropriate for him to go. Obviously we don't patronize a BAR with him. Mannino's in Smithtown is our go-to, local delicious Italian eatery :)

Re: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
We take our DD pretty much everywhere too. I like Krisch's in Massapequa and Runyon's in Seaford.
The only place I've ever felt uncomfortable was Maggie's on Park in Massapequa Park.
We went around 530ish on a weeknight, the place was EMPTY, and they sat us in a corner. Like we were diseased b/c we had a toddler with us. It was just a horrible experience.

What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
Weekends I prefer to stick to chains and go early (Outback is great for that). If we want to go somewhere nicer we tend to do lunch or a weeknight. We've taken DD to Hoshi in patchogue a bunch of times and they're so friendly with her, La Tavola and the Cull House in Sayville, Tellulah's in Bayshore, Burger Shack in Patchogue. I think it also depends on the kid. DD will sit in the high chair without an issue other than the occasional loud voice or dropping things on the floor repeatedly. If you have a kid that needs to get up and walk around then obviously that's tougher.

Re: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
We have been to George Martin in merick, Jakes steak house in east meadow and Jackson hall in east Islip. They were all pretty kid friendly. But my kids are usually well behaved as long as there is food and I bring toys.

Nicks Pizza and Clam bar in St James. There is outdoor seating (its only open seasonally) and a huge lawn the kids can get up and run around on while you are eating and they are done.

We take her everywhere pretty much. If weren't going to a chain restaurant, we like Piccolos in Bellmore.

Re: Update: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
I heart you and your update.
Dd has been to blackstone many times. She doesn't eat the steak, but we enjoy it and there are things that she can eat.
Most of the time I bring stuff from home for her to eat when we go out. I give her food when we sit down bc she wouldn't want to sit there waiting for us to look at the menu, order and finally get our food.
Take her where you and P want to go!!! Is this for a big bday dinner maybe??

Re: Update: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
We have taken DD to City Cellar, Cafe Formaggio, and the White Whale in Seaford. Cafe Formaggio & Passione in Carle Place has tighter space so they put her carrier on the high chair. The others accomodated us in a stroller.

Update: What's your favorite child friendly restaurant?
I took dd who is 9 months to Petrossian in the city yesterday. We got all dressed up and had a great time. They were very accommodating but no boosters. I have a little tykes one I bought on amazon for $16.99. She ate a delicious lobster roll and sat for 2 hrs. All in all a great experince and I took hundreds of pics. Go wherever you want and enjoy. Steakhouses have salmon and lobster. Much softer to chew on.
