Need help deciding on a gym
1. Planet fitness: it is cheap as anything, but there is no babysitting. All I really need is equipment. Only problem is my dh and I would have to trade off watching dd. 2. LA Fitness: day care! My only fear is that they don't watch the kids too well. I tested it and saw my dd standing on a chair. Granted, most likely it is totally fine. I am paranoid. 3. Local community center. It would be working out and socializing, I suppose. It is pricey, though, and have to pay per hour each time I use babysitting. So confused!

Need help deciding on a gym
I was tossed like you. I chose PF it's cheapest & I won't be distracted worrying if my child is safe or crying ect (if I chose a gym w childcare). The gym is my time less I have to worry about or schelp the better. I also dont mingle or chit chat at gym..time is too precious & I want to focus on why Im there ( im a chatterbox I'd be there all day)

Re: Need help deciding on a gym
we are at our local rec center.
yes I pay $6 per kid per hour but I would never go at night. I need to get up and go. That $ is worth it to me.
it's convenient and close to me.

I think I am leaning this way. I just couldn't relax for an hour and enjoy myself at the gym without LO having 1:1 supervision. Plus, I can afford 10 dollars.

Need help deciding on a gym
last year when we moved here i was looking for a good gym.. checked out so many different places. honestly- did not find one like the YMCA in San Diego where we moved from. I have 2 boys and needed a place with a daycare.. so actually I started working out at home and LOVE IT!! I never was a "work at home" kinda gal but now its sooo much easier and less time! Have you ever considered getting a good workout program and knocking it out first thing in the morning?

Re: Need help deciding on a gym
My membership is currently on hold for the moment...
I however chose a gym that has childcare, but I've never used it.
Like another poster mentioned I prefer that time for me and the less distractions the better.
Honestly when I go, I like going before the birds so I get in and out and don't have to worry about all the other gym stressors either hah: .

How old is your child? For me with my son being almost 3 I would go for #2 when he was younger I probably wouldn't have left him in a gym daycare
