Spent Saturday in the ER
So Saturday I was at the mall with my husband around 11:00. We hit a couple stores, then went into Old Navy. I was on the woman's side looking at tights, when I suddenly got a little nauseas. I checked the time and it was 11:30, so i thought to myself, let me go grab my husband and tell him we should get lunch after this store. So I walk over to him and the second I stop in front of him, the room started spinning. I was so dizzy and there were grey splotches in front of my eyes and I couldn't see. I tried to tell my husband something was wrong but I just passed out. Luckily he caught me and I woke up on the floor dripping in sweat. He said I was as red as a tomato, but the heat went away quickly and then I got the shakes. Paramedics took me to the ER and they think it had to due with my blood sugar. I had an unhealthy breakfast, and they couldn't find anything else wrong. When I got to the ER my blood sugar was 81, but it was at least 45 mins after passing out. Got a sonogram and both babies were fine and moving all over the place. It was just such a scary experience.
They basically said that you shouldn't have a lot of sugar in the morning, it has to be protein. I had two doughnuts because a new shop opened near our house. Lesson learned!!

So scary, glad you all are ok! 2 doughnuts will definitely spike your blood sugar. Protein, small amount of complex carbs and water next time!! Thank goodness it wasn't anything serious

Spent Saturday in the ER
That must have been so scary. I had a moment like that when I was about 20 weeks. I almost threw up and passed out until I ate an apple. Just keep an eye out for those types of incidents. Since you're carrying twins you're at a higher risk for GD. I wound up getting diagnosed at 31 weeks, but I'm sure that the hypo episode was a result of it being undiagnosed earlier.
