Would you mind sharing with me what your electric bill is?
always heard it was way more expensive ...wondering if that's accurate ...

It would be for an apartment but if you have a home, I'd be interested too.

Thanks

Re: If you have (or have had) electric heat

We only have it in our weekend house upstate. We only turn it on when we're up there every other weekened, and our electric bill ranges from $30 to $90/mo depending on the season. Its pretty expensive IMO. I can't imagine what it would be if we were up there full time.

If you have (or have had) electric heat

I had it in a ski house and bills could get up to 500+ a month.

I have it ... 1300 sq ft townhouse... We basically have heat on all day and shut it down at night and run a portable heater in my dd's room instead... $350 is about our norm.

If you have (or have had) electric heat

We have a 2000 Sq ft ranch with a basement. We are 100% electric heat but we have ductless heating and cooling. We keep our house extremely comfortable and when the ac is on, our bills are about $280/month and in the winter, the bills are about $350. As expensive as it is, it's no worse than the oil bills my friends/family have.

I don't have any numbers, but I thought electric was less expensive. The oil prices are insane.
