Question about primary doc

If you went to see a new primary doc and as you were reviewing your medical history (which is quite complicated) and the doc wrote down liposuction after you told him you had a tummy tuck would you continue to see them. It's so not the same thing and this is bothering me for over a year now. Trying to see if I am being too sensitive.
I loved my former doctor and was his patient for 15 years. But the trek from Holbrook to Garden City is just too much.

Re: Question about primary doc

if it bothers you why don't you correct him/her. I would. I would say I noticed you wrote down...but I had such n such and the two are very different.
Does that make you feel like the dr is incompetent? if so and you don't trust him/her consider changing, but I would mention it first

Question about primary doc

I corrected him when he did it but he ignored me and continued writing it down.

I was going to tell you to correct him....but you already did and if he ignored you then you should be concerned.
You are not being overly sensitive.
If the 2 proceedures are DIFFERENT he should know that and make sure your medical history is correct.

Re: Question about primary doc

I will say, I have had a lot of surgeries in the past, not cosmetic, and unless the Dr is in the field sometimes they use terms incorrectly or think they are inter changeable.

Just a second thought to think about. But if its on your mind for over a yr...

Re: Question about primary doc

The fact the ignored you when you corrected him would worry me. What else is he going to ignore?

I'd keep looking
