Return a hamster
It saddens me to ask this, but I purchased a dwarf hamster in May and am thinking about seeing if I could find a new home for her. I had NO idea that hamsters make such a mess!!! There is tons of poop every two days all outside the cage and on my furniture. Does anyone know if Petco would take it back?

Re: Return a hamster
?? Before you rehome your hamster, have you considered a fish tank as a cage? I have never had poop outside or on my furniture. Did you also know that hamsters can be trained to use the bathroom in only certain parts of the case. They are very smart. I would think Petco has a "no return" policy on live animals

Re: Return a hamster
I think there is only a 2 week to 1 month return policy on live pets. They would take it back for no refund though I'm sure.
I agree with the glass tank idea. I have 2 hamsters in separate tanks and there is never any poo anywhere.

Yeah, I'd get a cage. Get a glass aquarium.

Return a hamster
When I used to have hamsters they were all in glass tanks with the screened top. Much easier to control mess wise.
