intro
hello everyone. i rejoined LIF because I wanted to have a bit more guidance with infertility. DH and I have been married for six year, trying for that long but being very relaxed about it. We both are if it's going to happen it should happen naturally. Well being I am getting older, i was told by my doctors to get a bit more serious. So after clomid for a year and nothing happened, I finally went to a specialists a month ago. I did my first monitored cycle - went through HSG, vag sono's for specific points, got put on estrogen, tried naturally and failed again.
So my next step is the consultation next week with what I hope is a game plan. HSG results are perfectly fine, hormone levels were fine but my lining was a little bit thin so the estrogen was given, i tested positive for ovulation (which i always do), etc. Sperm test was okay two years ago but DH is doing another one next week.
So hi and i am sure I will follow up with questions after next week.

Re: intro
Welcome to the board!
I'm glad you're under the care of an RE. But I'm a bit shocked that anyone would allow you to be on Clomid for a year. Recommendations are to use clomid for 3-6 months at the longest, and only under close monitoring. One of the most common side effects is that it thins your lining, which could be preventing you from getting (staying) pregnant.
Hopefully your RE is more on top of it! Good luck.

After i did research i ended up stopping the clomid around 7 months. Then detoxed before going to the specialist. I am so glad they haven't put me back on because i was a witch on that stuff.

Re: intro
Welcome to the board. It was a very long process for me. We found out we were finally pregnant just before our 5th wedding anniversary and I was off the pill before our first. So I know what thats like. GOOD LUCK! I hope your stay here is short.
