If you have used city mini double and city select...
Or similar strollers. I know this is asked over and over and there are both tandem and side-by-side fans. I'd like to hear from those who have tried both. Which do you like better and why? My single stroller is the b-agile and I love it, so I'm leaning towards the b-agile double. Thanks!

I actually have both... City Select -pros: stadium seating, easy handling ability, great to navigate stores with, huge basket, kids can sit fully upright -Cons: pain to fold
City mini double -pros: so easy to close, both kids can full recline, easy to maneuver -cons: the basket is tiny, more difficult in store aisles and doorways (but does fit) and kids cannot sit fully upright

Re: If you have used city mini double and city select...
I have had both
I LOVE my city select the best stroller I have had ( Ive had a lot of doubles) It's versatile, convienient and overall sturdy stroller. It is heavy compared to the city mini but not to heavy. It can get expensive with all the ads ons but again so worth it . The city mini was nice and light and folded easy but eventually I just got tired of the side by side. I for through most doorways but in stores it was a pain to use. I was either moving racks or leaving the stroller where it fit and then walking into tighter areas.

I owned a city mini and friends had the select. I rented the city mini GT in disney twice. Love the GT. Easy fold, lighter than the select. Both the select and the GT have nicer rubber tires. Wish I had the GT but it wasn't around when I got it.

If you have used city mini double and city select...
I have the city mini elite double and I love it. Both kids fit comfortable in it and it is easy to push. It goes in and out of doorways easily, folds easily, and I like the recline on the seats.
My dislikes - the basket is useless IMO, it fits one bag and trying to get anything in and out of it will make you crazy. It's heavy as hell when you need to lift it into the trunk of your car. I have a Jeep and this takes up the entire trunk space. I keep a basket in my trunk to hold everything and I have to maneuver it around so that the stroller lays flat.

Re: If you have used city mini double and city select...
I had similar strollers.
With a tandem stroller, one kid is not able to see in front of them. I also felt like I was pushing a bus. I never got the elite because it was $$, but a friend who did never used it, her older kid hated it. I donated mine to a friend who had twins.
I had a cheap side by side (I'm just not a stroller gal). Both kids were able to see everything (zoo, farm, park). We rarely use it now, but did get lots of use when kids were young (they are 1.5 yrs apart).

I used both - with kids in them before buying. I ended up going with the city mini. It's easier to fold and very easy to push. The city select was easy when they kids were small but when they got bigger (and by bigger I mean 12+ months) it got to be a pain. As the pp mentioned, it felt like pushing a bus. I also didn't like that the select requires you to remove the seat before folding

WE have city mini. If you dont plan on buying a few strollers that many people like to do then get this one. Although no storage room as the twins get older they can jump in & out as they choose. With city select they will outgrow by 2 1/2 yrs old

Why do they outgrow by 2.5? Is it height? We tried one out with just DD1 before we had DD2, but I can't recall how much room there was.
I wish I could buy both kinds for dfferent purposes. We just don't have room.

Agree to everything you said.
Wanted to add that the select is very heavy!

My 5yo sits in it still on occasion and my 3 yo sits in the second seat all the time. I not think that's necessarily true

Thanks! This has helped me think about what to look for. Unfortunately, I think I have to go and try them with both children to see how they turn with more weight. And to see how close DD is to growing out of the seat.

I tried them out with kids and...I'm going with a side-by-side. They are easier to push and turn. I really liked the GT, but I might get the Britax double so I can click in my car seat. I couldn't find a floor model of the Britax to try out yet

Re: If you have used city mini double and city select...
We really like the select. My twins are 2 1/2 and love their stroller and always prefer it to a cart or another option. They are nowhere near growing out of it and my son is 85% for height. It's good until 50 pounds a seat but I imagine it would be difficult to push at that point.
