Donor Sperm
Regular poster in hiding
Has anyone been through a successful cycle using donor sperm? Specifically from Cryobank in CA? I am wondering how many vials I should order for an IUI, and how does the shipping process work (ship to my home, or to my doctors office). Feel free to FM me if you'd like to remain anonymous

Re: Donor Sperm
I think it's generally one vial for an iui. If your doctor does back to back iuis then you would need two vials. I would ship straight to the office. They'll be able to properly handle everything and have experience with it.
I ordered donor sperm from the same bank and shipped to the doctors office. I ended up not using it, but I did go through the arduous process of selecting the donor and shipping the specimen. Good luck!

Donor Sperm
yes we used cali cryo. we ordered 2 vials per the Dr for back to back but ended up only using one. if it works, you will want to have more for later. if it doesnt work, you only want to have a couple so that if you need to switch donors later, you can. it's a fine line. ugh. ps ours worked first vial.
they ship to the Drs office. you have to have prior approval. ICI probably can be shipped home, but i am not sure- they are pretty strict with that stuff. you can ship as many as you want for one shipping fee. LIIVF will store (not sure who you are using) BUT if you leave them in CA, you can "return" the unused vials for 50% back.
