1st IVF- Question about follicle size
Hey ladies so I had my sono yesterday it was day 4 of menopur and follistim. My nurse had called out sick so there was a tech doing my sono and she wasn't very detailed about my follicles like my nurse usually is. When I asked her about number and sizes all she said was theres a bunch of small ones on each ovary. I don't really know what to make of this. By day 4 on stims how big and how many should there be ideally? I'm concerned that maybe i'm not stimming like I should be. When I was on clomid by day 5 I could barely walk and I used to make like 7 follices on that. Where were your follices at around this time? Thanks ladies!

I think most places generally measure follicles past 10 (not sure of measurement unit) but they generally want to see the follicles at 18-20 at retrieval time. Hope this helps! Good luck!

On the 4th day of stimming, I usually had no measurable follicles (all under 10 mm) and in the end wound up with 20 eggs. It is still early. If the doctor is concerned about your response, they will up your meds. Remember, they are hoping for the same end result you are. Trust them.

Totally depends on your body and i would not get caught up in what size they are now and what day of meds you are on. In one day things can really change as well as you could be on the meds longer than others. As long as you are producing follicles you are doing great. Keep your eye on the prize...like in my case, all i needed was one...literally and now we have our lo.
