Re: those still working?
I kept thinking that every day I went out early, I was losing a day with my babies. I sucked it up for me so I could give more time to them.

For me it wouldn't change my time out with baby boy, my doc will not clear me before 6 weeks vaginal or 8 weeks c-section minimum, so that is what I get after, does not change if I take off early.

Nope, too small of a practice. I'm lucky I'll still have a job, lol.

make sure you take little breaks here and there I went all the way until the day I went into labor. It's really a challenge but if you take a break do things at your own pace and stay hydrated you are good. Your job knows your state and I'm sure they don't expect everything to get done. Hang in there
Oddly I find it to be the opposite. I hate to say it's bc my Boss (female) doesn't have any kids. But my workload has not lessened at all. There are still tons of e-mails and notes to "make sure this gets done etc".
Yup, I'm in the same boat. I manage the practice, so for me there is no "down time", there's a lot that I need to take care of before being out for weeks, including getting some IT upgrades done which I have been harassing the doctor about getting done for the last month ++. FINALLY got the OK to move forward so I have to schedule that asap. Now they also want to possibly change shredding companies (again all before I go on leave).
that sucks ladies I'm so sorry I guess in this situation I think just go until your body allows it!

Ugh again I've hit the 4pm slump. My head hurts; can barely keep my eyes open. Just so incredibly exhausted!

I was actually feeling really off this morning, I was rushing around like a mad woman (if you couldn't tell by my feeling like an a$$ post in FHF, didn't know how to start my new car)... I ate a bagel throughout the day and finally sat down for lunch at around 4... taking that break made me feel so much better, I'm good to go for a while longer.

This. It was really rough starting 36 weeks, and I made myself work until the end because I wanted every week I could get with my DS at home.
