How Early...
Is to early to test after an IUI? Should I wait a certain amount of time to make sure the HcG shit is out of my system? Also, I never went through this with my old RE, but with this one, he wants me to come in tomorrow for a progesterone check. What is this for? My old RE only checked this after I got my bfp and put my in supplements. Thanks!

Re: How Early...
The progesterone check is to make sure your progesterone is at the level to support a pregnancy (must be over a 4 to support a pregnancy). If it's on the low side they may up your progesterone (if your using PIO they may go up from 1cc to 2cc & if you're on suppositories they may increase from once a day to twice a day, etc).
After IUI it's probably to take a HPT 12dpo. That's so you won't get a false positive from HCG.
Good luck

Good luck! I like how it says hcg shit, although you probably wrote shot.
My re always had me come in after iui/Ivf to check levels before beta. It's good, another monitoring step.

My RE said it can take 10-14 days to get out of your system. Not wanting to risk a false positive, I waited and tested on Day 14 if AF hadn't shown yet. Usually I showed by then, so it saved me money.
I asked a similar question on here back then and some members recommended purchasing dollar store tests and testing the HCG out. Test daily until you get a negative, then wait a day or two and test for real with a good test. I didn't do it though. I just waited it out.

Re: How Early...
I test around 10dpiui. Sometimes earlier when I'm impatient, but by 10dpiui the trigger has always been out.

do you count the day of the IUI as day one or the next day, I know with after a ER that is not counted as a day
and what is you have no trigger when would it be safe to test.

I always thought you counted the day after the iui as day 1, am I wrong?

I would think the same thing since you trigger about 36 hours before and they time the iui with ovulation.

Re: How Early...
You count the day after as day 1. So if you have an IUI on Monday, Tuesday is 1dpiui. If it helps, dpiui stands for Days Past IUI, which means you start counting the next day as day 1.
