Prenatal massage?
Crashing with a question ;)
One of my best friends from college is pregnant with baby #2. I want to get her a gc for a prenatal massage for Hanukkah. Where can I buy this?
Eastern/central Nassau preferred (Syosset to East Meadow)
Thanks!

Get her a gift card she can use for a prenatal or another treatment, after childbirth, because not all pregnant women are allowed to have a pre-natal. I was told no by my OB. And you generally have to get OBs to sign off.

I've never heard of this. Really? How would a massage be detrimental? Not trying to be snarky - I am genuinely concerned. I don't want to give a gift that would hurt her or her baby!

Prenatal massage?
I heard from another friend that it is not recommended if you have high blood pressure or gestational diabetes. We did a girls weekend this weekend at a place with a spa and I asked my OB about a pre-natal and was told no by my OB because of my history (I had a myomectomy before becoming pregnant). But another friend with me said she wasn't allowed when she was pregnant because she had elevated blood pressure. I've heard there are other reasons. That is why most places won't do a prenatal message without your doctors permission. Most women are allowed to, but I would just make sure if you get a gift card that if she can't use it for pre-natal it doesn't expire and she can use it as a nice get away after birth.
