Random #'s calling my cell

For a few months now I get calls from numbers all over the US (NYC, WV, CA). Usually I avoid, but bc I get a lot of missed numbers I decided I'd answer and see who's cold calling me. Well, last few times I answer there's no answer. When I call back I get a message the # is not in service. It's the same random three or four numbers I get and all not in service.
I thought I was on the Do Not Call list, but it may have expired so I put it on again recently.

I've been getting them a lot lately too, but I hang on a bit when there isn't an immediate answer. Sometimes it's a robo call asking abot my mortgage. Earlier this week I got a live guy saying to turn on my computer bc I was downloading stuff. Him I had a little fun with :)
"Really, omg, what kind of computer do I have? Really? Huh, funny cuz I"m looking at my mac and it's at home"

I have been getting so many to my cell phone that now when they call I don't answer it, call back to check that it isn't someone I know and then I add the number to my blocked number list. Otherwise I find that they try once a day for quite a while. It is very annoying and becoming more frequent.

Yes I get this from time to time. It's annoying. I never answer.

I was getting calls from South Dakota and the message was entirely in Spanish. I looked up the number and it was a scam.

You should register your cell number with the do not call registry- I think it takes 30 days but that could help
