how does google know how to read my mind??

i was watching an episode of Gilmore Girls and over Luke's shoulder, i saw a nyc transit bus sign in his apartment. that got me to thinking that getting something similar would be cute for my new apartment.

i pull out the computer, to google it.

i type "nyc "
and the first auto complete that comes up......?????

"nyc subway merchandise"
