Re: Reglazing tub
We used Melga Sales (they're in Brooklyn) for tub and tile reglazing. The tub alone was $310.

what did you have done on the tiles- do you have any pix? our walls are all tiled and it's those rectangular 80's grey with some flowers... would love to see what can be done.

Reglazing tub
We reglazed our tub in the condo we rent out. I don't remember how much but I think it was around $400 ish for the wall tiles and tub. The first time we did it we reglazed the tub, wall tiles, and they had tiles as molding around the room next to the floor. I think it came out great. It covered some dark brown nasty tiles and turned them a nice bright white. We try to redo it every 3/4 years depending on wear.

Re: Reglazing tub
Oh wow, I can't imagine re-glazing every 3-4 years.
We re-glazed our tub in our old place. I don't think I have the name/number anymore of who we used but it was around $300. They did such a great job. The tub still looked new 7 years later when we sold. I bet it would have made it 10 years before needing to re-glaze.

Re: Reglazing tub
we had a bad experience with reglazing, we regalzed the tub in our co-op and it peeled a short time later, re-glazed again and the same thing happened. So, we wound up doing bathfitter for the tub only. If it was a house, I wouldnt have reglazed, i would have replaced the tub from the beginning but since it was a cop-op we werent staying in long term and the tub was cast iron I didnt want to deal with the cost of removing it.

We have tenants and they don't always clean it with the correct cleaner and they are very hard on the tub. We could probably go longer than that but we just add it into the cost of repairs for renting. If it was in my own house, I'm sure it would last a really long time.

Ahh, got it! I actually made my kids sit in the inflatable baby tub inside the actual tub until they were 1.5yrs & then they only played with soft toys in the tub so we were careful. Of course, we dropped a shampoo bottle or soap here and there but luckily, no scratches or chips.
