Anyone get sick while they were pregnant? I was being so careful with not touching people and washing hands.

I have been drinking a lot of liquids today and eating citrus but what's happens if I get a cold that turns into more? :( I'm scared what's it could turn into.

Yep, I was sick for almost 2 whole month with bronchitis, and a bad cold and cough. Wasn't much I could do about it. Hope u fell better son

Your immune system is weaker when you're pregnant and you're more likely to get sick than a non-pregnant woman. So it happens all the time and you'll be ok! I woke up with a fever of 101 at 13 weeks with my first pregnancy. My OB told me to take Tylenol to get the fever down and Claritin or Benadryl (at night) to help with the sniffles.

Getting sick is pretty unavoidable, especially when pregnant in winter. Just drink a lot of water, try to get some rest, and if it turns into a full fledged cold, take a doctor-recommended medicine or just let it ride.

I had a stomach virus at 10 weeks, fevers of 101 and vomiting. I was petrified but the baby is fine thank God! They are stronger than you think they are in there. Our immunity is weaker because we are giving it all to the baby. Rest and drink up and talk to your doctor if your still not feeling well!

I was sick for 8 weeks this pregnancy. Kept getting a sinus infection that wouldn't fully go away and then would come back worse than before. It took 3 rounds of antibiotics to kick it, but it's finally gone. Ideally, I don't even take Tylenol when I'm pg but I had to take meds to get better. The docs know what they're doing and will only prescribe what's safe.

Sure have! At 12 weeks, i had the flu for 10 days.... A week after that, i caught a terrible cough/cold. Now my husband has the flu and im a bit scared i could potentially get the flu again. All i can say is lots of rest, hydration and food is the key.

Yes I had a sore throat early on maybe 5-6 weeks and now I have it again. It sucks that we can't take anything for it!

I was sick in my first tri and now at 37 weeks. It is common and the baby will only be effected from high fevers and dehydration I was told. I did not drink enough with this cold and started with contractions so I had to pick up my soups and liquids. Lots of rest for you!
