Woke up to a decent amount of bleeding and back labor around 3am. Had DS at 8 am about 30 hours later. Real contractions were easy to tell for me because it was very different from Braxton Hicks which I had had for a long time. These were very distinct feelings of having my tail bone twisted out of my back every few minutes lasting about 1-2 minutes. Initially only mildly painful but obviously became much more so as I was more progressed. Went to the Hospital at 8pm after laboring at home from 3am that day and was 5cm. Had DS the next morning at 8am.

So how did your labor start? Early signs? ((For BTDT))

I'm hoping I'll know when it's time. I was induced with my first so I never went into natural labor. I'm still a bit crampy today and it's mixed with gas like pain but nothing consistent. I really hope I'll know when I'm really in labor!

With DS, I had a lot of tightening and felt "off". Went to the doctor but she said nothing was any different than the previous week and sent me home. That night when I went to bed, my water broke. With DD, I felt completely normal and when I went to bed, my water broke. I was almost 2 weeks early with both and my water broke around 10pm with both as well! Very similar births.

Felt like bad cramps. That's it.

Lucky!!!! I had bloody show with my DS. It was mixed with mucous. With this baby I only had some clumps of mucous come out but nothing much. Cramps are still coming strong though and bad sharp pains in my crotch like she's bearing down. I know she wants out at this point lol

Lucky?! It scared the living daylights out of me! I woke my poor husband up crying because I thought something was wrong. He just kept looking at me because he didn't know what to do to help lol. I 'm just keeping my fingers crossed that my doctor is right and DS will make his appearance within the next few days lol.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did your bleeding last? I woke up around 12:30 a.m. to blood and freaked. I called the doctor and described it to him and he said it sounded like bloody show, but I still have blood when I wipe (sorry if TMI). I'm also having period like cramps; some bad, some not so bad, and lower back aches. I'm a FTM, so I'm kind of panicking even thought my doctor said I'm fine lol.


My bleeding started at 3am along with my contractions and continued on and off till I had my DS 30 hours later. It freaked me out too even though I know bloody show is normal (its the cervix dilating and membranes breaking away from the cervix) and that is eventually why I went to the hospital that evening (more because I had been bleeding all day then I was dying in pain).

I wish I had contractions with it! lol still waiting for those!
