Going darker (hair)
My natural hair color is light-medium brown. For YEARS I was blond. Then went back to my natural brown recently and like it.
I'd like to go darker though. But how does that work with lighter roots growing out? I feel like when natural brunettes go blond, it's totally acceptable to have dark roots. But if you go darker and have lighter roots growing out, that must look crazy? Do you have to obsessively do your roots darker?
I feel like this is the dumbest question but it's the one thing holding me back!

Re: Going darker (hair)
My hair is naturally dirty blonde and I typically go darker. The roots really aren't terrible when they come in. I think unless you have platinum blonde hair, you're fine.

Re: Going darker (hair)
My roots are gray and I dye medium dark brown which was my natural color. I color every 6 weeks or so because my hair grows fast and the roots are noticible.
