L'Arginine, Maca, Royal Jelly- anyone
I just had my 2nd cycle of clomid with IUI and it failed. I need a little break from the RE. DH and I are unexplained but not yet ready to jump to injectables or IVF.
My AMH is very good. Unfortunately unless you do IVF, there is no way to tell what quality eggs you have. So I want to try to boost my egg health, in case I have poor quality eggs.
Anyone have any luck with L'Arginine, Maca, Royal Jelly?
TIA

Yes! me! I conceived dd after a year and a half of trying, 4 iuis and 2 Ivfs. We were also unexplained and everything was always great for dh and I.
Fast fwd to now. I took supplements and so did dh for about a month and we conceived naturally and I'm pregnant now. Let me find my post from before so I can copy and paste it

Ok, here it goes.
Me: Pregnitude packets Vitex B6 B complex Omega 3 D Royal jelly Took a teaspoon of this special honey (royal jelly, propolis, pollen) in tea every morning *i found this sold in England and they raved how it got so many people pregnant who tried for years! even after failed Ivf. Increases egg quality. Well they don't ship to the states, but I found it on amazon (something similiar) I also used an OTC progesterone cream I bought on amazon after confirmed o (temped) I only did this the month I got my bfp!!!
Dh: L-Arginine FertilAid for men
You should also know we were unexplained. Both of our numbers and everything was always great. I was always on the lowest doses of meds when we went through treatments and had over 20 eggs retrieved. Dh's numbers were always through the roof.
I hate to say this, but I think the first time I was so consumed by getting pregnant it hindered me. Either way, these vitamins can only help. Lmk if you have more questions.

I did L'arginine for like a week then stopped once I started Estrace. Not enough time for it to work but it may have helped since I'm 8weeks pregnant.

Thanks everyone. I also came across pycnogenol for egg health so I may try that.

I did it all, but it's hard to say what helped or didn't.
According to the docs, the only thing with any solid research behind it is CoQ10, but if you want to give supplements a try, here's a good reference list to start with:

I would speak to your RE before taking anything. I was taking Co-Q10, royal jelly, and wheatgrass everyday and my RE said to stop because it can increase hormone levels.

Re: L'Arginine, Maca, Royal Jelly- anyone
The key is to support methylation. All those supplements help in the detox process. The issue is it's extremely individualized. It's based on the person's individualized "gene mutations" and what status their body is in at the moment. Getting an amino acids lab test done can give you insight in what type of nutrients that your body is in need of.
I highly recommend researching "methylation/nutrigenomics"
A first step is to at least have your doctors run the panel for MTHFR. MTHFR is the tip of the iceberg but if you have mutation there, chances are there are a slew of them in the biochemical pathways.
Feel free to FM me.
