it is possible to be on a waiting list. My DS is currently on a waiting list for OT services because they are in such high demand and everyone already has full caseloads. I guess that is the downfall of getting qualified for a service in the middle of the school year.

Yes--we had a 1 month wait for PT and 2 months for OT!

Depending on where you live it is common to wait for related services. Espcially if your child gets approved in the middle of the year, most children age out in august or december so thats when therapists have the most availability. You can have your SC look through different agencies but sometimes theres nothing they can do!
