I dont get the whole, great way to spend time with yor family thing either. Honestly, do people really never spend time with their family? We all just were together for the weekend. Now we are stuck in the house for another 2 days? Lol.

Because some of us relish family time. Plus it is different than the weekend, I am not rushing to clean, do laundry and all the other chores done. It is guilt free sit on my ass and cuddle DD time or baking time or crafts with DD and playing in the snow! I love doing all that and Sat and Sun don't cut it IMO.

SNOW!

Took me an hour and a half to drive home from Mineola. In bed now under my comforter trying to debate if I want hot cocoa?!

Agreed!

I don't SECRETLY love this..................I flat out LOVE this!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon DH is already on his way home, my DD had an early dismissal, both of them are home tomorrow and possibly Wednesday, the house is stocked with goodies, and we're getting ready for our first round of cooking and baking!! I'm in my glory!!!!

I love being home with DH and the kids all cozied up, junking out, watching movies, and enjoying the snow. I think this is AWESOME! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Totally agree, but what if we lost power? Not so in love with this anymore huh? Lol

Or if the roof collapses or a tree falls.
Snow stopped being fun when I had to deal with all the adult responsibilities. Like driving in it, working, shoveling, worrying about a house.
UGH

This exactly. Not fun sitting in traffic for 2 hours and barely being able to see. And I was thrilled it ONLY took 2 hours to go 26 miles. Chat Icon

Not to mention forfeiting a holiday or sick day- which is what my job is doing tomorrow.

Exactly! It's like a holiday, imo. No chores (except shoveling), can't go shopping...you have no choice but to be inside with your family and make the best of it. Junk food, baking, cooking, movies, sweat pants. It's like Mother Nature saying, "Slow down." Chat Icon

Re: SNOW!

Oh I enjoy family time, dont get me wrong but I have two kids who fight day and night and being stuck in a small house for days with that gets old. Lol.

We are one of the fortunate ones that have tons of family time since we dont work long hours. We are poor in money but rich in family time lol.

And that's exactly why I can't get excited about a Girl Scout Jamboree of milk, cookies, and campfire songs!

Plus, I'm working tomorrow. From home, but that is SO much worse than working in an office. DD is already driving me nuts. Trying to do a con call and she is running around singing.
I cannot WAIT to go back to work!!!!!!!
I am praying i can go Wednesday!

I hear you. I have to work from home tomorrow too even though my office officially closed ... can I get away with not working all day sure but I will still have to attend conference calls. I have 4yo DD and an 15 month old I try to work second half of my day from home pure torture. I am actually still working just giving myself a break right now.

DH will at least be home but he will be snow blowing most of the morning and there is only so much he can do.

I am also hoping I can go back into the office by Wednesday Chat Icon
