Re: Moms of two or three boys...

I have 2 boys and while when I see cute dresses and stuff I get a little sad, I am done and would not trade my loves for anything in the world.

People say that to me all the time. Especially because I'm a dance teacher. But honestly, I am so done! I have no interest in having a third child. AT ALL. I could be guaranteed a girl and I still wouldn't want another kid.

Yes, I want to have a third. I'm honesty open to either having two or three children. But the fact that I had two boys first and always hoped for a girl is pushing me to definitely go for a third. I love my little guys and would not trade them for anything. But I still feel our family is incomplete. If number three is another boy, well, I will accept that a girl is not in the cards bc there's no way we could handle four!

Moms of two or three boys...

I have 4 boys and they still ask me if I am going to go for a girl. What is most annoying is that I never was. We had a third because I really wanted another child. I was totally content with our family after that, but then #4 came along as a big surprise.
As for your concern whether more boys would be a lot more work, it is really not much different. My older two are close in age, then there is a gap and then my younger two are close. It is great that they all have playmates. Although as they grow, I cannot believe how hard it is to keep them fed! They are always hungry!!!

If the "physical-ness" is what you are tired of, I would not "go for the girl" - in my experience it's all about personality! I have both and my girl is WAY more insane than my DS ever was Chat Icon

I went for the 4th, which just so happened to be a girl. BUT I wanted 4. I wouldn't do it just for a girl.

Re: Moms of two or three boys...

I have 2 boys. I would love to have a 3rd child. We wouldn't be "going for the girl" per se, but I would love, love, love to have a girl. Another boy would be fantastic, but I'd just really like to experience being a girl mommy too. No matter what though we are not having more than 3.

I absolutely love it. I didn't have 3 to go for a girl. I always wanted 4 kids.

I would love to go for 4 kids but my husband says no way.

I don't need a girl. I have 3 older brothers and i really think i'm meant to have boys. I have never been disappointed that each one was a boy. I just never had that gender disappointment.

my 1st boy is so sweet and gentle.

My 2nd boy is the rough and tumble one. Very active.

My 3rd is only 4 months old so we'll see.

I don't think it has to do with the sex as to how rough or active they are. I think it's just mostly their personalities and a little bit to do with what one allows.

I'd so be happy with 4 boys. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Moms of two or three boys...

I have 3 boys and when I got pregnant (it wasn't planned) with my fourth I still really wanted another boy. I was never a girly girl and sometimes I found little girls to be annoying.

That said, I can't say enough good things about my little girl. She is amazing and more than I ever could have asked for.

I always get "you finally got your girl"...

What you said about the mil's makes me laugh because it so true. Honestly, my husband only has brothers and no one makes them be alone on the holidays. lol. It is a tough situation because you just can't control who they want to marry as adults. I think as long as you "any MIL" keeps the negative opinions zipped, it is alllll good. Don't worry!!
