nunleys party while open to public?

Anyone have one?

Does it get crazy?

I have just a few kids who will be attending & don't want to get lost in the crowd... is there even a crowd?

Re: nunleys party while open to public?

we had a party over the summer that was open to the public. they didn't really interfere with our party. only complaint was that the young girls running our party never announced that it was time to eat! so I was riding on the carousel w/ my dd and all of a sudden see everyone at my party eating pizza! needless to say me and my dd ( the bday girl) didn't even get pizza! the pizza was supposed to be for kids first then whatevers left over go to the adults. I had purchased bagels from them for the adults...it ended up being a free for all. overall a great party but that bothered me

nunleys party while open to public?

My niece's birthday party was there this fall and it was open to the public during the party and we hardly noticed. My sister also had an issue with the teenagers running the party. They were clearly disinterested in doing anything more then bring out the food and drinks and putting them on a table.
My sister was annoyed that they spent most of the party gossiping amongst themselves. She was lead to believe there would be someone "in charge of things". Also at the end of the party they arbitrarily decided the party was over- some kids were allowed to go on the carousel one last time and others were told the party was over. I think this is bound to happen when a bunch of high school kids are running things.
Overall it was a fun party but my sister and BIL were on top of things more then you would expect to be when you have a party out.

Thanks!

Good to know. I'm procrastinating in the decision between Nunleys & another place...

I'm sure both will be fine, but I do too much research whenever I spend $.

Where can you go to party that is not run by teenagers?? Very few places.

When I went to the party there last march, it was a sunday morning. We had a good experience.

Any further updates on this post?? I am going back and forth as well and unsure of what to do. Our party would be in the Spring, but they are completely booked for private parties from April through the end of June!

I had DS 2nd birthday there during open hours and it was fine. I think only a couple of other kids came to ride the carousel. It's not like chuck e cheese they come and ride it once or twice. It's not like you are going to have swarms of "outsiders" there.

I chose not to do it. Not being able to have a private party was my deciding factor.

I looked around and found a place that did real horse rides for an hour for a bunch of kids (we had 10) in an indoor riding place. It had it's positives and negatives (real horses & attentive staff, but we were responsible for food, drinks, setting & cleaning up, the place was also small).

My DD absolutely loved her "horse birthday".
