Reccomendation for an OBGYN Needed - Eastern Suffolk/Stony Brook Area
Can anyone recommend an OBGYN. I am in the market for a new one. Someone who has knowledge of infertility treatments while you are going through them with an RE would be helpful.

Dr. Porte in Bohemia. There are others in that office but I have only seen him.

Three Village Women's Health in East Setauket. I usually see Dr. Davenport or Dr. Leon but they are all great.

Hands down Stonybrook OB/GYN in Bohemia- I see Dr welischar and i think she is the best. Dr lochnar and dr van nese are good too. i do not prefer to see the male drs
we didnt see them until after the RE though. The friend who recommended the practice to me did and she said they are the only reason she has her son.

Reccomendation for an OBGYN Needed - Eastern Suffolk/Stony Brook Area
Re: Stony Brook OB/GYN in Bohemia and/or Setauket
This is the office that totally screwed up the genetic testing after my miscarriage, and then lied about it. Now I am moving forward with TTC with a history of a pregnancy that we "think" was lost due to achondroplasia (geneticist's best hypothesis, due to incomplete records), but no definitive answers because they screwed up the testing orders. They also knew that my progesterone and thyroid activity were super low during my pregnancy, but didn't raise any concerns about it. I only discovered that after I got copies of my blood work to bring to my RE (who addressed both issues right away).
I can't say anything specifically about Doctors Welischar or Lochnar, since I only saw Porte and O'Keefe. A friend of mine recommended the practice because she liked Dr. Lochnar, actually. This is just my experience.

This is the practice I go to. They have office in setauket and rocky point as well. Welischar is my dr but I have seen all the drs there and have no complaints. Dr Porte is very thorough. He was the only one who went over everything in detail with me so if that's what you are looking for I would reccomend him

I second Dr. San Roman! I have been a patient of his for nearly 20 years and can not say enough good things about him! I moved to Queens and still go back to him, I refuse to change doctors!!!
