Sign up for Enfamil, Similac and Gerber. We had a sample pack of Similac delivered to our house (they just sent it...we didn't order) by the time we got home from the hospital. It purely was timing and they didn't know when I gave birth. It was good to try out the different Similac options.
DD is now on Similac for Supplementation for her bedtime bottle.
I would suggest different options to try...and also try powder vs ready to feed. I've read that some babies prefer the ready to feed.

Similac Blue was what was offered in the hospital with DS.
He was great with it, from day one.
Around month two, at home, he became fussy/gassy with it so we had to switch to Similac Sensitive for Fussy/Gas (ORANGE in color).
That was wonderful!
We did the liquid - DS did not take the powder AT ALL.

We will also start out with regular similac (what's given in the hospital). I found it really is trial and error when it comes to the formula. With DS we first started with regular similac, then switched to sensitive and then finally had to put him on alimentum. We only used RTF with all because when I tried the powder it made him worse (so yes it cost us a lot of money!)

The hospital gave us similac to start, but my doc had us change to enfamil. She said there is sugar in similac.
