I used to subscribe to Ipsy for a long time. It was fun getting a makeup bag every month and trying all the new products out. I got some really great stuff sometimes.

I cancelled when I realized I was getting so many off colors that just didn't appeal to me and that I'd never choose for myself. Also, I wasn't using half the products and I felt it was a waste, not to mention an endless supply of makeup bags I didn't know what to do with.

Never tried birch box.

Hated birchbox, ended up throwing away most of the products. I subscribe now to fabfitfun which is a great seasonal box.

Ipsy was too juvenile for my taste, and I was a long time subscriber to Birchbox. I think BB has gotten too big to be as personalized like they were when they first launched. Now they have a brick & mortar store & high production commercials. While it's awesome for them, I felt like my profile wasn't being looked at or at the very least paired with the right algorithm. I cancelled about 6 months ago with BB and I honestly do not miss it.

I had BB and cancelled after a little while. I was getting a few things that I wasn't using. Sounds silly but I kinda miss getting the surprise box in the mail and was thinking signing up again. Are there any other companies that do this with better products, or varieties?

Never had ipsy but I ended up canceling birchbox. It started off great but then I started to get stuff I could get a the drugstore like chapstick or a single bag of tea or a drugstore knock off brand. I just started to get fed up and I ended up canceling.

I say try to Ipsy... I know a few people who ended up feeling like I did about BB and canceled it.

I am currently getting IPSY, but may cancel since the last 3 months eyeshadow has been the same exact color just different brands. Getting bored with it. May switch to BB.

I have birchbox and fabfitfun. I love fabfitfun because they send you full size products. I look forward to birchbox, even if I don't end up liking everything in there. I got it this week and it included a beauty blender, really excited to try that out since so many people on here rave about it.

I had both Ipsy and BB for a year. Cancelled because I didnt use half the products and some of them were just pure junk. I liked Ipsy better because they had the bags which I ended up using for lots of other things.

I also subbed to GlossyBox, which is a little more $$ but the products seemed better quality (ie Oscar DeLaRenta perfumes vs. no name brands that smell funky).

I got birch box as a gift for 3 months. I hate it. And if you think about it you can get free samples from the companies all the time so they have a great business plan because you are paying for something you can go up to any beauty counter and ask for free samples
