I don't think so. The Kosher salt is usually much larger grains. At stop and shop the Kosher salt is usually in a box, right with the regular salt.

Pretty sure it's not the same but I always use sea salt even when it calls for kosher and it works just fine.

It is not the same. The taste is different. Kosher salt comes in a big box, I prefer the Diamond Crystal brand.

It's different. It doesn't really have to do with the coarseness of the grains, as different types of salt can be coarse or fine, depending on how they are processed.
Kosher salt is a smoother flavor with less "bite" than some other salts. I use kosher salt often when cooking.
I use table salt a lot for baking as it dissolves more readily.
To me, sea salt is more of a "finishing salt" (for things like roasted veggies).
