Re: Sports Party?
My son wants another Hockey party this year (also 6) I found a lot when I googled (but not many that do Hockey)
Last year we did Skate Safe ......I wasn't a fan.
Try Sportstime in Bethpage

Does Sportsplex in North Bellmore still exist?

Re: Sports Party?
Sportsplex in N. Bellmore closed. I'm in N. Bellmore.
My DS turned 6 in December and I had a sports party for him at L.I. sports Complex in Freeport (right on the Merrick border, on Mill Rd. When you get off Meadowbrook Plwy on Merrick Rd). It was a great party, and the kids loved it. They have a huge indoor AstroTurf field, and the birthday child can pick up to 3 sports. My son chose soccer, wiffle ball (with a "sky ball" that goes high) and pillow hockey, but they have things like football, gaga, tiug of war/relay races, etc.
I thought the people working the party kept it well organized... I had 26 kids there. And it was more affordable than the bouncy places I've had his parties at in the past.

I saw that place in my online search but didn't see anything Hockey related - what is Pillow Hockey?

Re: Sports Party?
Everyone around here (Im in Bellmore) does the LI Sports Complex in Freeport. You pick the sports - gaga, soccer, wiffle ball, hockey (soft), etc. My son is 7 and pretty much every boy party last year and this year has been there! Call and ask about Hockey - they definitely do it...went to a party a few weeks ago there and they played hockey. The party was hockey themed...parents brought hockey team plates and gave out sticks (from 5 below) for favors.
There was another sports place in Syosset that was similar that we went to as well but the name escapes me now. They did hockey too.

Yes, as the poster above said, pillow hockey is like field hockey played with soft sticks (the ends of the sticks have like a cushion on the end). My son is crazed with hockey and it was a must-do!
