Potty training
During the CPSE today, the topic of potty training came up and it was suggested to start. So we need to get into a new routine. I placed him on the potty a few times tonight to get him to stay on as long as he can and will gradually increase the time. My DD(5yrs old) always craves my attention as well. My DH and I work opposite hours to avoid childcare. Any pointers on the potty training as well as balancing work, doing homework with my DD, and potty training with DH?

Try using a timer. Make him go sit on the potty every 10 minutes. Get him involved by having him press the button on the potty. Reward him every time he goes (i.e. M&M, sticker, etc.). Once he starts going consistently (you'll be shocked that he may go every 10 minutes), start increasing the time to 15, 20... He may start going on his own when he hears the timer go off. It's a lot of work upfront, but it worked like a charm for us.
