Mirena - Still bleeding? Normal?
Evening mamas! I had Mirena inserted 3-4 months ago. I had spotting here and then and pretty normal periods, a little lighter overall. I have been bleeding for 2 weeks now. I think it was my period, almost normal flow but now light bleeding for an extra week. Almost too much for just a liner. Anyone else? I read online that bleeding is normal, but 4 months after? Haven't called my dr yet. Thanks ladies!

Re: Mirena - Still bleeding? Normal?
I've had Mirena since the end of December and had some strange bleeding last month (strange because I hadn't had any since it was inserted). My obgyn said bleeding is common until 6 months, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Re: Mirena - Still bleeding? Normal?
I had it put in in September...i had on/off bleeding/spotting and 3 LOOOOONG periods for about 5 months after i got it.
I started tracking it and in january, there were 10 days where i didnt have any bleeding/spotting!! SO ANNOYING!! i was ready to take it out! But after speaking with my doctor, she said it could several months to almost a year for your body to adjust. She told me to give a full 6 months. well...i'm in my 6th month and I havent had any bleeding/spotting in about 3 or 4 weeks.
so...yes, its normal, but track it and give it some more time. If you get concerned, call your dr.
Good Luck!

I had that. I remember being annoyed it was too much for a liner not enough for a tampon. Thought I might buy stock in liners at one point.
It was actually 6 months for me to see the significant difference.
