Mirena and spotting/bleeding
I’m wondering if this is normal or I should call the Dr and have things checked out. I had the Mirena put in on 9/13. I had period like cramps the Friday and Saturday of that week. Then on Sunday, 9/18 I started bleeding like a period. Nowhere near as heavy as a period but it was much lighter but red nonetheless. This lasted for about 4/5 days followed by brown spotting. This week I started getting cramps again for a half a day or so, then either yesterday or the day before I got red bleeding again. Is this supposed to be my period or could this also be considered spotting? I also get tiny clots that release every now and then in between the time what I stated above. Is clotting normal? It is very small clots and loose not chunky like.

I never had that problem with Mirena. I would call your doctor and have things checked out.

I scheduled an appt for next week. I hope this isn't anything serious.

Re: Mirena and spotting/bleeding
I was bleeding like that for a few months, and it is totally normal and a PITA!!! My dr said it can definitely take a while but once you stop bleeding your periods become almost non-existant.
