Re: Do you tip?

I've never tipped the photographer. I don't really see a need, I'm already paying a lot of money to them to take nice pictures and edit them, why do I have to tip on top of that?

JMO, but tipping is literally out of control these days.

Do you tip?

I think I a m generous when it comes to tipping. I just handed over $5 to the teenage girl at the ceramics place yesterday because she was extra sweet to DS. Technically, all she did was squirt some paint colors onto a plate for him. However, I would never think to tip a photographer after I just handed over A LOT of money for my session!

Even if they went above and beyond - I would consider that great customer service and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer.

I get editing takes a long time, but that time is incorporated into their fees, as well as the cost to ship. That's why you pay so much.

I also agree - tipping is out of control these days.

Yes -- absolutely A LOT of work goes into editing

Right, and that's what you're paying them for when paying a quoted price.

I also don't understand the need to tip everyone for every service provided. If someone goes above and beyond what they're being paid for, that's when i would consider tipping them.. but when they're doing their job (whether its delivering a couch, installing cable or delivering a package) they're already being paid for that service. Why pay more?
No one pays me extra when i do a good job, i'm just doing my job. I just don't get the mentality of always tipping people above and beyond, it's like the tipper has something to prove
