Maternity Acne?
I have a pepperoni face. I look like the 13 year old version of myself. I have not had zits since like 8th grade. I don't know what to do about this but it's bad. Nothing I use is working. I haven't tried things like Stridex because my skin is already pretty dry.
Has anyone been able to manage pregnancy acne? If so, please share your secret!

Re: Maternity Acne?
I've had some pretty bad acne, but I've always had bad skin. I use Belli Acne Clearing Facial Wash with my Clarisonic Mia and it seems to be helping. Belli also has an acne control spot treatment but I haven't tried that yet.

During pregnancy you should avoid anything with salicylic acid, which is the active ingredient in Stridex. Look for washes with benzoil peroxide if you need something stronger and use a moisturizer twice a day.

Okay thanks. I haven't tried anything yet. I just figured traditional acne treatments weren't going to work because this is different. I've been washing with cetaphil and using an organic serum and moisturizer. I just don't know what else I can do to cover all of these pimples. My cheeks are so red too.

Maternity Acne?
I got the worst back acne with DD. They were painful and mostly didn't come to a head.

That's how mine have been since the beginning. Huge red pimples that never come to a head but hurt and last for weeks. I barely had acne when I was a teenager and this baby is making up for it now lol
