Where to stay in Disney, Florida
Hi, We went last summer (my first time) and we stayed at the Animal Kingdom. We had an amazing time and would like to take our almost 5 year old back again this summer. I don't know if we should book AK again or try some place new.
Do any of you have positive experiences with Disney resorts (we want to stay on their property like last time) that would like to share them with me? TIA!

I've stayed at several resorts, Polynesian, beach club, Coronado springs, and art of animation. I've had nothing but good experiences. I think you really can't go wrong with any of the resorts. I would take some time to look at pics on the website and pick the one with the theme that appeals to you most and that fits your budget of course!

I agree - see which one fits your budget. I've stayed at The Contemporary and Pop Century - different price ranges but we loved both!

We loved The Grand Floridian as you can hop on the monorail at anytime.

I think they are all awesome so it really depends on the budget. We recently stayed at the beach club and loved it! We are going back next year and will probably try the poly - maybe the grand floridian.

We have stayed at a lot of resorts, from value to deluxe it just all depends on your budget. We just got back last night from Port Orleans French Quarter. It was the only resort that wasn't booked up for the week other than a value that I had originally booked, but then decided to switch. It was very expensive, I paid more for this hotel then I did for the Yacht Club last Summer, but I guess because it was Spring Break. It was nice, compact, efficient bus service.
My fav is the Yacht Club though. The pool can't be beat. Followed by Wilderness Lodge (easy boat access to the MK).

Re: Where to stay in Disney, Florida
It depends on budget, theme, and where you think you will be spending most time. I'm planning on spending most time at MK, so we are staying at grand floridian because it's on the monorail. Boardwalk and yacht/beach club are super convenient to Epcot and DHS. If you think you are building in a few resort days with no parks, it may be worth it to splurge a little more on a resort with nicer facilities.

LOVE Port Orleans Riverside. The rooms are clean and spacious and the grounds are so, so pretty. We really loved it there!!
We have also stayed at Pop Century which was really cute. My kids loved it, the grounds were bright and fun!

I have stayed at every level resort. Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favorite resort ever. With that said, Beach Club is amazing, Grand Floridian is great, Wilderness Lodge has the same cozy feel as Animal Kingdom but is much closer to Magic Kingdom.
If you're looking to spend a little less, Port Orleans French Quarter is amazing, and I really enjoyed the Caribbean Beach as well.

Grand Floridian was my favorite Disney resort. Four Seasons Orlando is my favorite hotel in Orlando.
