Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
I am in a wedding 12 days after my due date. So of course me and the bride are aware I may not make the wedding. I live in Nassau on the North Shore, and the bachelorette party is in Atlantic City. I will be 2 days away from being 36 weeks. I'll discuss at the time with my doc but..what's your instinct? Would you go?

I wouldn't go. If it was local I would do the low key stuff, but not a distance away.

If I was feeling well enough and had no pregnancy complications, I would probably go. AC is not so far away on the off chance something were to happen. When I had DS, my hospital was an hour away from home so even under the best of circumstances I had a decent drive before I could get there.

Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
I just said no to a bachelorette in NYC, I was 37 weeks. I just felt like I would be nervous the whole time that something was going to happen and I didn't want to slow down the group.

Same. Plus it would be nice to get away and relax one last time before the baby comes. I'd do the pool and dinners with the girls, i just wouldn't go out to the club,

Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
I wouldn't go. My OB suggests after 34 weeks stay close. It sucks because my oldest DD has college orientation (overnight thing) once I hit 36 weeks and my step mom has to take her and it's in NJ.

Nope....I would be too nervous. If it was something local and low key, more than likely I would do it. But to be that far away from home, no way.

I wouldn't go, for one i wouldn't want to end up in the hospital down there, off the boardwalk AC isn't the nicest place. But also a bachelorette party in AC is about drinking and clubbing. Inside those casinos its never nighttime, they'll probably be partying all night, and you do a lot of walking. Sure you can sit with them by the pool, if they make it there, but most likely you'll be by yourself a lot.

This... I was 4 days shy of 36 weeks when I was induced... delivered 1 day shy of 36 weeks via c-section. I had NO issues and felt GREAT up to that point. In fact, I felt fantastic and thought I was going to go late... then out of no where my bp skyrocketed and I was sent to the hospital and induced.

Re: Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
I would probably want to go but I'm sure my DH wouldn't be happy about me being so far away. I would talk to your doc and see what they say. They might not want you going either...

Re: Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
I wouldn't go. If it was a night in the city for dinner it would be different, but at 36 weeks I wouldn't want anything to do with AC.

Right, in theory (if I go) this is all I would be doing.

Re: Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
Thanks so much ladies!! I'll see if my doctor has a thought but I don't think I want to go. Those ******* (jk) should have done the Hamptons like I said! Still far but nicer than AC!!

Re: Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
Nope, would not go. That's too far from home at a month before your due date - in my opinion. If you choose to go, you should be comfortable with going to a local hospital there if you have any problems since you wouldn't be able to drive home to your hospital. Also your husband will be far away and I'm sure everyone with you will be drinking. I'd be uncomfortable that if I needed to get home early, I wouldn't have an easy way to get home.
ETA: I'm 34 weeks now and my feet are swelling. I don't think I'd be much fun at a bachelorette party in AC considering I always want to sit with my feet up!

My Doc said to stay within 1.5 hours of MY hospital starting at a certain time... I think it was 36 weeks.

Bachelorette Party at almost 36 weeks?
I've never been 36 weeks pregnant so I can't really say. If you don't go, I would certainly take her out for a nice dinner locally. I wouldn't feel right not doing anything and I would obviously want to celebrate my friend who is getting married!
