ESL Certification
The NYS website is very difficult to really figure it out.. so I am asking here... Anyone a professionally certified teacher who was going for an ADDITIONAL CERT in ESL? I am certified in Elem Ed, Special Ed, (1-12) and English (7-12)...BOCES told me all I need is 4 classes in ESL.... the website says something else...

ESL Certification
I'm not sure if this is the reason or not but I know the requirements on the schools end for ESL certified personnel have changed so maybe the cert requirements have changed as well. Did you go on TEACH?

when you look at pathways on TEACH, choose the pathway "individual evaluation for an additional certificate." you can have a review, and they will tell what you are missing. when you send documentation that you completed additional requirements, you don't need to pay an additional fee for the next review.
