I'm taking my 7 year old to NYC for her very first time. Does she need a booster seat? I hate schlepping it around but it's a far walk from Penn to our destination. On the other hand I wouldn't want to risk a problem and not sure if we would he turned away for not having a seat. She is a little shy of 50 pounds and about 48 inches tall. Maybe taller as we haven't measured her in a while. Thanks!

There is no legal requirement to have a car seat in a taxi. I buckled my dd into the seat and held her while the taxi driver drove.

Thank you. I just didn't want to be turned away if I didn't bring it. We may try walking to our destination and taxi for getting back to Penn. I want it to be a fun experienice so trying to prepare.
