question about christening attire for baby...
So I have twins girls that are being christened next weekend. Is it OK if I buy them cute white sandals to wear instead of the traditional white shoes? They are going to be wearing white tights and the dresses are long... I just wanted an opinion because I know that sandals are not the norm, but I figure why waste the $ on shoes they're not going to wear....white sandals I can put them in all summer...
TIA!!

I don't see why not. If the dresses are long you won't see the shoes.

Re: question about christening attire for baby...
My son was baptized last week and some of the other babies brought up to be baptized did not have shoes on at all, just socks.

My DS just wore white socks. He kicked them off in like 10 minutes. His gown was long and covered his feet.

I don't think either of my kids kept their shoes on more than 5 minutes. They were satin and with the socks they slipped off the second they'd kick their feet. I think you're fine with sandals.

Yes, it's fine. Mine wore socks & then we put in blue sneakers for the boy (who was walking). DD had no shoes.

Re: question about christening attire for baby...
My ds was baptized in August and was extremely hot that day and I left him barefoot and he had on a romper....nobody said anything...let them wear whatever you want
