12 weeks Thurs I lost my baby
Hi, I was supposed to be 12 weeks on Thurs. I went for my sono today and there was no heartbeat. The baby stopped growing a week and a half ago.
I have to go for a D&C Friday. if you have been through this, can you please share what I can expect? It took us 1.5 years to get pregnant and now this. I am devastated.

I am so so sorry for your loss.
I had a D&C last September. The procedure itself was quick and physically painless (emotionally is a different story obviously). Even though you may feel fine, I would take it easy for a couple of days after. I think I tried to 'get back to normal' too quickly after and I experienced heavy bleeding. Once I laid down for a bit and relaxed it went away very quickly though. If you have any specific questions, or need to talk, feel free to FM me. Again I am so sorry you are going through this.

So very sorry.
D&C will not be so bad. You won't remember anything & at worst will be a bit crampy & nauseous after. I think the emotional part will be the worst of it.

omg i am so so so so sorry. i have no words to comfort you.
my sister law lost her first at 11 weeks. she had complications getting pregnant and staying pregnant. she then had her first, then had 2 miscarriages. then had 2 more healthy pregnancies. she now has 3 beautiful healthy boys!

I'm sorry. That really, really sucks. I had a D&C last year. It was physically painless. The recovery was about 2 weeks or so of period like bleeding. Have pads and Advil on hand at home. Good luck. Don't give up. I'm now 34 weeks along. It took a long time but we are here.

sending prayers. I did not have a dnc but I did have a miscarriage and went onto have a healthy pregnancy.

Im so very sorry. I had a D&C last May and I know from experience that it's harder emotionally than anything.
After the D&C it took us 4 months to get pregnant again and I just gave birth to healthy twin girls two weeks ago.
Just take easy and rest after the procedure. You'll experience cramping but it wasn't terrible pain. Again, the emotional pain is the hardest. Lean on your loved ones for support. It's a tough time. Again, I'm very sorry

Lots of prayers for you during this time. I never had a D&C but I have had several miscarriages. They all took place before 6wks so I was able to pass them on my own, but I will say that the emotional toll was substantial. I understand the anger and sadness you are probably feeling and I pray for quick healing and peace for you during this time and that your healthy keeper is just around the corner. I hope you took the day off and I'm glad it's on a Friday so that you can have the weekend. Try very hard to relax and take it easy. I'm so sorry, I really am. NOBODY should have to face this sort of thing.
