I just started potty training my DS. He is 2 and 9 months. I have him bare bottomed while we are home and the first day he went to the potty and peed by himself. I have to use a potty chair because my 19 month old loves to play in the toilet so I need to keep the door closed to the bathroom.

The issue is that today and yesterday he has been sitting on the potty non stop. It's almost as if he just wants to sit there until he goes. But I feel so bad that he's sitting on the potty all day long! When I tell him to go play or try to encourage him to get up he cries and says no pee pee coming! He seems to anxious about it. I feel terrible!

What can I do about this? What am I doing wrong?? Please help!!
