Dr. T- SIRM
I just love him. He is so direct yet compassionate and methodical with his thinking on a cycle. I am in the middle of a cycle- and I have had the most follies grow since I started this process 2 1/2 years ago (2 doctors ago) It may not seem like a lot but my age (41) and one ovary present a big problem. I have 5 follies growing- 4 look like they are growing at same pace, one is small and probably wont catch up). they are SLOW growing- been stimming forever it seems but he would rather stim me with minimal meds and slowly increase then what my last dr. did to me. He does e-mail and gets back to me right away with any questions I have- again he does not sugar coat anything but is very compassionate and caring. Plus I love that HE is actually doing all the sonograms not a nurse or tech and sits and really thinks and looks at chart before making next move.
I am so happy I switched to him and only wish I did sooner. And NO I do not work for him :) anyone who has been on here awhile knows my story and struggles.

I really want to go to him but being monitored in the city would be so hard for me. I wish he had a Long Island office. Good Luck

I'm so happy for you! The commute from LB stinks but you figure it won't be for long bc he is doing everything in his power to get you that baby. I'm praying for your follies! Keep growing!

I went to 2 REs on the island because of convenience and it didn't get me pregnant. Not gonna lie, the city is a big challenge but I'm making it work bc Dr. T is my last hope and shot at this. I work on the island and live in LB. There are days I'm racing to the train and I just make it. ( he's in mid town so driving is a nightmare). But I feel it's worth the chance and inconvenience of a couple of weeks.

Dr. T- SIRM
He was my last hope and he worked for me. You are right he doesn't sure coat and it took me a while to get used to him but he really knows what he is doing. He was definitely not in a convenient location for me but I made it work. I highly recommend him! For all the girls out there that are labeled unexplained don't take that diagnosis. I kept on pushing and when my RE wouldn't go for it I switched. Like you I wish I would have switched sooner. I am so hoping he is the answer for you.

I have my first appointment with him on 6/16 and I am super excited and also nervous about how I am going to make this work. He is also my last hope - we have one more IVF through insurance and then we are done. I know there is something that my RE now isn't finding as he doesn't believe in immune issues. Hoping this will be it for us.

I was in same exact boat. didn't know how I was going to pull this off city wise. but once I met with him, I knew I had to make this work. have one more IVF through ins too and last RE didn't believe in immune issues yet Dr. t found a few immune issues.

He told me he drops his daughter off at school so his monitoring hours start at 9 but you can be seen all day- up until 4:15 p.m. its not just a morning thing like my other RE's did. thing is he does ALL his ultrasounds and makes meds decisions. The front desk ask you "around" what time would you like the apt and they do their best to accommodate you but you don't get specific apt time until the day before in the afternoon. So in a way it is tough. I usually take the late afternoon and take a half day and take train into city. It is SO WORTH the inconvenience and stress that traveling to the city brings. And I am stimming longer so I'm in even more than I was with other doctor. I promise you it is worth it though.

I wouldn't call it picky. I have a long medical history and he told me that this will be a battle and very tough for us. But he did want to try something different based on my failed IVFs. I honestly think that if he doesn't feel he could help you, he wouldn't waste your time or money trying. And he certainly doesn't take patients based on how successful they will be because I know for a fact I'm a difficult case.

I was with two previous REs and had 4 failed IVFs and know that I couldn't give up without seeing him. So many on here love him and have given women their miracles. Thing with other Drs is that they don't think out of box and Dr. T does. This cycle I am on now is my best cycle meanwhile I'm older now with one ovary. He does all the ultrasounds which I love & is methodical about his next move. My husband, who is a good judge of character walked out of the consult and said, and why didn't we go to him from the beginning? He liked the second dr but he was older and didn't think too much out of box- first one at RS of NY he didn't like his way he explained things. If you have any questions please fm me. The city is tough but I'm in a groove now and made it work.

I know you love him but this is my opinion. He turned me down not because I would be a difficult case (which in some ways I would be) but his personal opinion on my decision to move forward knowing I have a long medical history and it could be a very difficult pregnancy. I do believe he would not be one to waste someones money but still. I think he is very kind but says the same thing to all his patients. I think he knows what he is doing and is a lot better than other Dr's....you know who !

Your entitled to your opinion. I'm just stating mine as well. :) I don't think he says the same thing to all his patients because I know a few people that go to him and we shared our consult stories etc and we all have different opinions, protocols etc. from him. I guess being with previous doctors I find him to be a breathe of fresh air. I'm sorry he couldn't help you. :(
