Prayers Needed UPDATE
Can anyone give me any hope? I am 7 weeks pregnant and i went to dr today with spotting - very light dots of red blood. They did a sonogram and they found sak but no baby. I did bloodwork and go back on wed for more bloodwork to see if numbers go up. Any hope here? Anyone have this happen and have successful pregnancy?
So my blood levels on Monday were 24k, yesterdays were at 29k. the dr said not looking good. have sonogram on tuesday. any positive stories????

I really don't have any advice. I regrettably have experienced quite a few early pregnancy losses, but they were all before 6wks with heavy bleeding. I haven't really experienced what you are (although I do know that in some cases people DO spot during healthy pregnancies). I really just wanted to send hugs and prayers for you. I know the fear of blood during pregnancy and the stress that causes. Google is the devil during these times. I just hope these days go quickly and that you get some good news and soon after hear that HB!

In all honesty it can go either way. It could be possible you are off with your weeks and could have conceived later than you believe ( that could give you the gestational sac with no fetus if you're 5 weeks). I personally had bleeding early this pregnancy (5 weeks to be exact) and it was heavier than spotting and currently 30 weeks now. So spotting doesn't always mean something is wrong.
When do you have to go back for another sonogram?

i go back next tuesday for a sonogram. my only hope is that i ovulated later than i thought.

I bled at 5 weeks, started out spotting then went into filling up a whole pad; my doctor told me to come in right away and I had an ultrasound, he saw the sak and he said all looked good and that we basically had to wait and see. I was put on progesterone. Then I came in every other day for a couple of days and they did some betas (we did this 3 times)....my levels kept going up so it was looking good. I stopped bleeding heavy but I kept spotting on and off until basically week 10!
I still do not have a 100% reason for this occurence. Side note: I have endometreosis, have a history of a myomectomy so I have a lot of scar tissue, I have fibroids on my uterus. So who knows. But apparently its very common.
I am now 5 months prego...and counting my blessings so far so good....

This.. although ive never experienced the good part of this kind of news... i know others that have.

This exact thing happened to me..The told me it was a blightend ovum and to prepare for a MC. I was spotting too but it was due to a subchronic hematoma. I went back for another US and sure enough thee was the bean! I was actually 5 weeks along when they thought I should have been 7. It was a long month of blood work and ultrasounds, Made me nuts! I am now 17 weeks along and all is well. Stay positive!!

there is no set doubling time for #s that high. Another sonogram will tell you more than bloodwork.

Once your blood work gets to a certain number usually 1k betas after their are insufficient. That is why doctors especially a RE will rely on the sonogram. You are way beyond that so at this point the sonogram will determine whether everything is good or not.

Thanks - still have some hope after those posts! Sonogram on Tuesday. Feeling naseaous these last few days so im hoping thats a good sign....
