Hospital Bag (first time mom here)
I started packing my hospital bag yesterday. Will you ladies also be bringing a diaper bag? The only thing I was thinking for my twins are homecoming outfits and blankets. I don;t plan on dressing them while being in the hospital. Not sure if bringing their diaper bag is necessary but on the other hand I know the hospital gives you supplies so I'm thinking it may be a good idea to stash that stuff for DH to bring home LOL.
Thoughts?

Hospital Bag (first time mom here)
I had DH bring the empty diaper bag on my last day in the hospital and I used it to fill up with the stuff from the hospital.

You can bring a plastic bag for goodies then have DH bring diaper bag when you are leaving to stuff it in. I should have taken more home. Lol. Same with blanket- bring last day with carseat. I did bring boppy though along with coming home outfits.

I didn't bring a diaper bag the first time and won't this time either. The hospital gives you everything you need snd I packed the coming home outfit with my stuff.
I did bring an empty bag to take all the extra dispers, Vaseline tubes, etc.

I did not bring a diaper bag. I brought a reusable shopping bag that DH would bring home each night with gifts people brought and different things for DS we took from the hospital. I was in for 4 nights so we got quite a bit of stuff

Re: Hospital Bag (first time mom here)
No need. Diaper bags just tend to organize stuff. I had a duffle bag for my stuff.

Didn't bring a diaper bag. Just used those plastic bags that the hospital had. LIJ (if you are giving birth there) gave a diaper bag.

Re: Hospital Bag (first time mom here)
Write yourself a note in your hospital bag to tell yourself to get a letter from the hospital saying that you had a baby. I got mine in the medical records room and I had to go to the hospital a few weeks after I had my little guy. I forget what it's actually called but it's a letter you need to submit to your insurance company that will help speed things along Good luck and congrats!

Re: Hospital Bag (first time mom here)
I didn't bring anything for the baby other than the take-home outfit and car seat (with car seat cover). The hospital provided everything else - diapers, wipes, nasal aspirators, outfits the baby wears during stay, etc, etc. There was absolutely nothing else I needed for her. The only things I did pack were a bag for myself with a couple outfits, toiletries, etc. I think bringing too much can be overwhelming and unnecessary. Unless you need an extra bag for all the goodies that you'll go home with.

Yeah - it's not necessary I just found it helpful because his birth certificate took So long to come and adding him on to my insurance was a pain
